Five Days Until Banding!

Mar 11, 2010

Well, thats me five days to go and counting. Im nervous answering every phone call in case its the hospital cancelling.

I've been on my two week pre op diet. That's on and off! I've managed to go from 16st 11lb (235) to 15st 10lb.(220). I've been swimming 3/4 nights a week for an hour and aqua aerobics. Does shopping count as exercise? if so, lots of that too lol!

Sometimes I've felt like I could kill to eat a roast beef/chicken, anything really dinner.....just something solid to get my teeth into! BUT I HAVEN'T!!!

I've bought a really nice outfit from Next, jeans, t-shirt and jacket in a size 14, just to give me an incentive when I'm down.

Just need to get through the next few days, weekends are hard as my hubby is home and my girls. Its Mothers Day in the UK on Sunday, we normally go out for dinner and the kids always, always buy me a box of Maltesers....... I've said flowers are much prettier lol

Starting Pre Op Diet....again lol

Mar 02, 2010

Well, thats me been really, really bad for a week! far too many goodies eaten... chocs, pizza, chinese,, to name a bit of the rubbish I've been putting into my 'Temple' body lol!

I'm trying to find out about the all liquid pre op diet, the low calorie on my doc has given me is to open to temptation (just how small is a small piece of cheese/meat/chicken ???) bet their idea is not the same as mine! lol.

Something I have done is swimming everyday and thirty minutes o the tread mill (only walking pace mind you)
My girls ages 8, 12, and seventeen are becoming obsessed with health eating and exercise, not sure if this is good or bad....

Change to surgery date

Feb 23, 2010

Oh no.......... I got a call from my consultant yesterday, my surgery has been postponed until 18th March,........ I'm so, so disappointed.

I was that fed up, I ate beef curry with boiled rice and prawn crackers! the only saving grace was that I shared it with my daughter.

Well, I'm a cup half full person, so thats me back on my diet and thinking everything happens for a reason....

Day Two of Pre Op Diet....

Feb 19, 2010

Well that's me just started my two week pre op diet. Here in the U.K, we are put on a very low calorie diet instead of the usual liquid one, approx 400 cals a day. I have to loose 14lb in 14 days for the op to go ahead.
Dont really feel hungry as I'm eating tons of veg (not root veg). Just have a sickly feeling, like I need to eat something to get my teeth into lol! Normally I'd munch on carrots, but these are too high in carbs... who ever heard of carrots being high carb foods !

Oh well, two weeks will NOT kill me, I have enough fat stored to live off for months unfortunately !.

On a happier note, I made pizza for the kids and hubby for dinner and had no yearnings.......... I did have to keep busy cooking my sprouts and cauli (yum.. )
though.

Benefits of suffering a milk and yoghurt Diet and loosing hopefully 100LB

1, Buy 'normal' size clothes ie 12/14 U.K. The average dress size in the U.K is 16/18.

2, Learn to horse ride without feeling guilty about the poor horse!

3. Buying small pants/knickers, sexy instead of functional lol!

4. Fitting into a plane seat and the belt being comfortable.

5, Walking my dogs without feeling knackered!

6, Save money on sweets and stuff I usually buy for work!

7, Wearing a Little Black dress instead of a Big Black Dress lol

8, Wearing high, high sexy heels!

and on.... and on.........and on.........................................

Looking forward to there being a little less of me!!!

Feb 13, 2010

Hi there, I'm Deborah aged 45, and I live in Scotland. (UK websites are rubbish) and I was lucky enough to find this one.
Yesterday, I was  given a date for Gastric Banding on 4th March 2010,.... yes, less than three weeks away! OMG!

I'm really excited, but nervous at the same time. I've spent the last few hours reading up on the Liver Reducing Diet of milk and yoghurt...... two weeks of this will not be easy!

Any one who can give words of encouragement will be grately appreciated x
