"I met with Dr. Harrington on Feb. 4, 2003, after months of anticipating my consult with him. I had read so many good things about him; I was very excited to meet him. He really took the time to explain and answer all the questions that I could think of that day. He diagramed the surgery for me, so that I would be knowledgeable about what I was to prepare myself for. He explained to me that he liked helping people and layed out all the pros and cons of the surgery with its risks, and went into great detail on how he only like to perform the surgery on patients who are really sincere about their health and weightloss. I was a little nervous on being approved by BCBS of RI insurance, but Dr. Harrington assured me that I was a good candidate and told me that it should be no problem. The office staff was very nice, and Helen went into great detail about the surgery. I am very pleased with him and his office. All of my testing appointments were sent to me as soon as they received the approval. I will see Dr. Harrington again on May 13 and I can't wait. He has nice qualities, very professional, young and handsome. He encouraged me to attend the monthly support meetings in Providence. I haven't seen him at the support meetings yet, although I have only been Feb, Mar and April. The support meetings are great, Dr. Roye and the WLS team from MOC have been there and "WOW" those meetings are excellent."
