I'm still learning how to use the features and didn't realize about this M ESSAGE area.....hope you have a good weekend....we are doing well, cept that I look like a science experiement. :)D

hi friends.....I am home safe and sound and am so happy to be able to get into my own bed....all by myself without any pain. One of my puppies isn't well so we'll be goign to the vet in the morning. Not sure what it is, could be getting older symptoms so we will see. Well, I wish someone would have told me to take ear plugs and a sleeping mask to the hospital...wow...it is really noisey there!!!On our first day, it seemed that Janet and I never got a moment of peace or quiet. Finally the second day, one of the nurses put a sign on our door.SLEEPING DO NOT DISTURB...well, that was a god send because we both got some sleep then. So, I looked around the halls of the ward and all over it says to BE QUIET.....is that for the food delivery people or?????

I look like a science experiement...did any of you? I got stuck in both arms, both hands and finally they had to put the IV in my shoulder. one nurse said I had nice skin but no veins....ha...kind of funny. The other cool thing I've noticed alreayd is that my grizzley bear hump is smaller...yeah, you know what I mean....we all have it. This afternoon, I watched some random show and it was about nutrition and it almost made sense to me. I think that after not eating for  4 days, your brain changes.....well....my best to all of you and thanks for your visits Sian and Becca.....here we go, isn't it almost time to go shopping???:)D

I got discharged about 6 am and Janel about 7:30....we are both waiting for our rides....thanks for all of your good thoughts and prayers....we both feel so much better today...more later:)D

it's a  bit rough.....my ice  chips don't like me and Janet has had major trouble with pain management....i think they finally found the right med for her though. We both want to be in the bathroom at the same time, that is our only fight so far...hahaha:)D

oh, when you all were here, did the nurses talk PAINFULLY LOUD????

Yesterday, Janet and I met up at our pre op and all is moving forward. I had to go over to the PB office to get weighed so it took me a bit longer...I also got the scoop on the piano so am cleared by security and Sr Cecilia (piano protector) to tickle the ivories if I feel up to it. Janet should be in surg right now and I'm finishing up last minute details at mi casa for the dog sitter and then off I go. Janet got a new haircut.....you're all gonna love it. My hair has been growing and I'm taking the Biotin so I hope that my thin mane won't go away. I am surprised that I was able to go all day yesterday and today without food...in fact, it is kind of a good feeling. I don't feel so sluggish, feel a bit more peppey and can stretch just a bit more...is this is what is to come???? So, thank you all for your good friendships here and hope to see you all in your new bodies.....sending love:)Deanna

I am so sick and tired of FOOD....I'm so sick and tired of it controlling my life!!! I wish that all of the food commercials on TV and radio and the billboards would all just wash away into the sea. I'd almost be happy if there weren't anymore grocery stores so that we could just go to a drivethrough and pick up our nutritional drink and not have to think about FOOD, sort of like getting gas for the car. Any one else feel this way??? I am going to welcome that day when I can finally control that 4 letter word....surgery date...come quickly.

hi All......has anyone heard how Becca is doing? I have my 3 appts on Monday. I am seeing Dr. Taller (sp?) then Khehar and then Margolis at 10, 12 and then 2. Any suggestions or thoughts? Looks like that means I have Janos Taller as the surgeon...right????My thoughts are with Marianne right now as she made a difficult decision...she and I are both in the schools and we try to do our personal things during the summer so we don't impact our students.....hugz to Marianne:)D

good to hear from Becca and how her plans are going. I will look at your piano, but have 6 already and might not need another one, but.....I LOVE pianos!!!! congrats to Sian for her decision with the bf......freedom is a great thing. I've been single for a long time and while sometimes you long for the strong caress...there are many other activites and events that can provide all of the emotional and social stuff that you'll ever need. Glad to hear the Sara is on the surgery list. My good news is that I haven't gained since our class (that is like a miracle) and I got called by Pacific Bari when I was in the Denver airport waiting for my connection to the Black Hills. I am so glad that they called on my cell ph as I was able to whip out my calendar and I'm scheduled for Aug 8 with my 3 appts. I'm thinking sleeve is right for me. I know that is what Becca is doing. So....are we all gonna have tea together soon?????Sending love:)deanna

hi gals...I saw Veronica in Vons the other day and she was excited to announce her surgery date...Aug 24, the day before Sians. I am waiting for my call to meet the doc and psych people...otherwise, trying to eat right, work in my garden and am enjoying my grandkids. Guess that our first surgery date is Aug 5......yeah for Glamis Girl!!!!:)D
