"Dr. Opie is very professional in his treatment of WLS. The office staff are wonderful to work with as well. All phone calls made where messages were left, returned in a timely manner.rnrnAftercare emphasized throughout entire program. You may not have surgery until you attend a mandatory class explaining aftercare and life after WLS. Dr. Opie has an orientation type introduction where slides are shown and patients are educated on obesity and the types of surgery offered. He has reported not one loss of a patient during/after WLS, and really takes the time to evaluate each and every patient before the actual surgery date.rnrnDr. Opie takes above and beyond precautions that he feels are necessary for a positive recovery and I respect that. I would highly recommend Dr. Opie to others for WLS.rnrnI have no negative comments to make. I am highly educated to the WLS procedures and outcomes. I knew, as a nurse, what my expectations were/are. I had a mind set of what would go on during surgery and the immediate post op recovery phase. I was not let down nor was there any surprises. Once again, I would truly recommend Dr. Opie for WLS."
"As a nurse myself, I know how important the above questions are. I had no problems with Olathe Medical Center. The staff were wonderful, room was wonderful, procedure from start (day surgery) to discharge was excellent. My only concern was the cleanliness of the hospital. Spills were not cleaned up, and I did not see a housekeeper in my room to mop the floor the 48 hours of my stay. I would recommend OMC to others for the treatment of WLS."
