Since having my first child in 197?, I have been doing the up and down scale and have been on almost every fad diet; losing and gaining, gaining and losing.  Now that I am half a century old I am committed to stopping this ride that will lead to an early demise.  I have only been pursuing bariatric surgary since January 17, 2008.  However, on Moday I go in to schedule a surgery date.  All my doctors (except the pulmmy, who is only at 99% clearance to date) have cleared me for the procedure.  And I hear the insurance company just may be a breeze.  This, however is quite scary because things just doesn't happen that fast or that well for me usually.  But I shall remain positive and leave the negative behind.

I have decided to go with the gastric sleeve procedure.  I really believe this procedure will bring me more success than the band. I know there will be more tests and classes and discussions, but I am ready for it all!  I shall be finer at fifty and enjoying life like never before.  I've read some of your testimonies and am truly encouraged, but I don't see where anyone else have chosen the sleeve. Although I know this is a relatively new procedure, I hope to read about some who have made the same choice and have experienced the surgery already.

On a serious tip, I asked the Lord to forgive me for not taking better care of this body He meticulously crafted just for me.  I believe, as his child, that forgiveness has been granted but I have work to do.
