I was born and raised in South Dakota mostly in the Sioux Falls area. I have two loving parents and I have an older brother and two younger sisters a nephew and a niece. I starting gaining weight around Jr. High and I've steadily gained since then. I went to college to be a Paralegal but then went in the opposite direction and started working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities. I currently manage a group home for young ladies with DD. They bring me so much joy and I couldn't imagine my life without them. I am 32, single (and most of the time happy with that;-). I own a home with my sister and we have 2 sweet cats (insert joke here). About 3 years ago I attempted to get approval for lap band but was denied by my insurance company because I only had one co-morbidity, HBP. This past summer I decided to try again and I found a new primary doctor and I was also diagnosed with Sleep Apnea which qualified me. I was banded October 9, 2006. My highest weight was 360 and my goal weight is 160.
