Charles S. Bollman

"He was great. A very caring man. My impression has only grown and his office staff is wonderful, esp. his nurse, Eileen. Very soft spoken and gentle man. I cant think of a single thing to dislike about him. Future pts should know that he is not at all judgemental, and genuinely cares about all of his pts. He attends all support group meetings and is ready and willing to answer all questions. He is so knowledgeable about what needs to be done and stresses the pouch rules and activities post-op. He sees his pts in the hosp. every day post-op while still in the hosp. and 2 wks after going home in his office then every 3 months for at least the first yr. He has support meetings once a month. He also gives you his home phone number and stresses that he REALLY wants you to call him with any problems. He very forthrightly gave all the risks of the surgery and answered any of my questions before the surgery. I would rate him overall as the greatest of the great. His surgical competence is the greatest, but his bedside manner is a little stiff, altho still caring. These are all my own personal views."
