2 week Post Op Visit

I went to my 2 week post op visit Friday and I am already down 18 pounds!! I am amazed that it has happen so fast. Usually for me to lose 18 pounds it would take me 5 months or more!! I am feeling ok other than the left incision is killing me. I am supposed to go back to work tomorrow but I dont think I am going to be able to because of the burning pain I am having around that incision everytime I sit a certian way or bend over. I showed the doctor and he said it was normal - but I am still worried on how much longer I will have to have this feeling cause missing work is gonna cost me $$$$!! Thank God for my fiancee he has been trying to help me so much with house work and the kids. I can't help but feel helpless and aggravated because I am not the type of person to sit around and people do stuff for me. It has been a HUGE adjustment!

Ok here it is with about 1 more day to go to when I have my surgery.....I am so dern excited I can hardly contain myself!!!! My family and I have planned a packed weekend to make this go by faster!! Monday cannot get here QUICK enough!!! Funny thing I am not nervious at all. I do not know it might hit me the morning of - but right now I am EXCITED!! Dr. Hargroder and his staff made me feel so at ease and Womans Hospital what can I say - no wonder they are the best in Louisiana they were all wonderful we I went for my pre op stuff!! I AM SOOOO READY!!!!!!

I met with Dr Hargroder yesterday and his staff - I will have to say I was very impressed. Ms. Cindy came out to speak with us as a group about our surgery and what to exspect. She was very kind and funny - I really liked her. Then Dr Hargroger came out and spoke to us as a group and was telling us about all the different types of WLS's. He was very informative and very nice - not to even mention very good looking-lol. Then we had a chance to go into the room and meet with him one on one and ask any personal questions we may have had that we did not want to ask in the group setting. He has a great attutide and is very kind and gentle. I am looking forward to him doing my surgery!
It is almost done!!

Well my struggle with weight is almost over. I have a date, Feb 25th!! I am so excited! I have been blessed not to have to go through this alone. My long time friend since we were teenagers is having it with me on the same day! It is going to be so nice to have someone to share this with. Get ready my friend - I will be calling you all the time-lol.
