My story is probably very similar to most of our weight struggle history. I am a 41 year old married mother of three beautiful teenage daughters. I have struggled with my weight for the last 15-20 years. My health took a turn for the worst over the last 4 years. I have struggled with cancer and beat it!! Doctors did not give me more than 6 months to live. Trust me, the Lord and looking at everything with a positive outlook does miracles. After being 1 year free of cancer, I was then told that my liver and pancreas were lazy and I was diabetic. I had allowed myself to reach a high weight of 242. I am 5'4". After praying about what to do so that I could see my daughter's graduate and live life to its fullest, I talked with my doctor about the possibility of gastro bypass. She referred me and within 2 months I was in surgery. It has been the best decision of my life!!!!!!!
