I saw the lapband on an infomercial over a year ago. I knew the moment that I saw it that I wanted to do it. However, we didn't have insurance, and I knew there was no way that I could afford to pay cash or finance it. So I patiently waited.
Finally the time came that my husband got great insurance through his work and I learned that bariatric surgery is covered. I immediately googled surgeons in Denver. Through a lot of research, I finally decided I would attend a manditory seminar given by Dr. Snyder with Denver Bariatrics.
So I chewed on the information that I got for a couple of months, ran the idea by those closest and dearest to me and finally had a consultation with Dr. Snyder.
Much to my surprise, I learned that I can be having this surgery within the next 4 weeks. That is much sooner than I expected it would be.
So here I am.
I am looking to meet people, share experiences, basically make some connections with some people going through the same thing I am.
