 I made it to onderland!!! 199 on the scale this morning.  117lbs down.  9 more till my original goal.  Once I reach that goal I may set a new goal.  I love my band as the tool it was ment to be.  I still work hard at eating right and exercising.  I feel so much better now that I'm not carrying all the extra weight. 

I had my 2nd fill yesterday 1 more cc added. I lost 11lbs since my last appointment. I'm happy with my progress so far and hope to keep losing.  I feel great!! Oh I forgot to add i'm off of glucophage now...goodbye diabetes!!!

I had my first fill today.  6cc in a 11cc realize band.  Everything went well.  It was much needed because I was getting hungry more often.  I can now go back to full excerise.  Zumba and Belly Dancing!!! WooHoo!!  Hopefully this will increase my weight. loss. 

I'm post op day 3 and everything went great!!!

My surgery went well and I was able to go home that evening.  I spent the day in the recovery room because they didn't have a bed available for me on the floor and when I finally got the floor I was discharged.  It felt good to sleep in my own bed that night. 

I've had no problems since and hope that continues. I've been walking to try to help with the gas pressure.  Also I've been sipping on my protein liquids.  I have no appetite at this time which is good. 

So far I have had a great experience and hope it continues.

Today is day three of my pre op liquid diet.  It's rough, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I know it will be worth it.  I say this diet is making me Bipolar one minute I'm saying to myself I can do this in the next few minutes i'm saying i'm starving I want food.  March 7th will be here before I know it. My family, friends and coworkers are very supportive and that helps a lot.

I'm so excited today.  I got the call from my surgeons office telling me I was approved by my insurance company.  My Surgery date is March 7th.  I was so excited I started to cry.  This has been a long journey with some set backs. Like having to start the process all over again because the Surgeons I was orignally going to were not a certified bariatric center of excellence.  But all that is in the past now and I now know I am mentally ready for this surgery.  I know that this is only a tool and I still have to work hard, but I am ready. 

Today was my last dietician appointment of my 6 month medically supervised diet.  I have lost 34 pounds and my BMI went from 48 to 42. 

When I was first told I hae to do 6 months followed by a dietician I was disappointed.  I wanted to have surgery asap, but now that it is over i'm glad I had to do it.  I have educated myself further in these six months and I now feel I am mentally ready for surgery. 

My dietician said it take about 5 weeks from now before I will have surgery.  My information needs to be reviewed by my surgeon, dietician, psychiatrist, nurse etc etc. In their review board where they decide if i'm a canidate for surgery.  Then off to my insurance for approval.  I pray everthing goes well and I'm approved the first time, but if not I won't give up and I will appeal.
