Hello!! I'm happy to say all went well with the surgery. I was able to do it laparoscopically. Dr. Poplawski is an excellent surgeon. I got a little nervous when he misread my chart- and thought I gained 40lbs since october. But mistakes happen and I'm glad he took a look inside before assuming I could not get it done laparoscopically. The healing process has not been terribly bad the first couple days a little pain from the incisions but I had energy.. I now feel like I don't have any energy. Been a little ill these past couple days. Each day I'm hoping it will pass but Its still here.
Something is not agreeing with me. For the first week or so I made pudding with the protein which I felt was a good way to get my protein in. You add 4 scoops of protein. Its not bad, but I think I just got soo sick of the smell of the protein. I tried it in shakes and tried doing all kinds of stuff with it and that for me is the hardest part. I've gone back to drinking the protein by itself. Which isn't the worst. When I would add it to a smoothie I wouldn't drink it right after I made it because I hate the frothy thickness of it. So I pre made my shake the night before and refrigerated it. It kinda settled and wasn't so bad for me. I meet with the doc tomorrow I'll update on how much I have lost.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!

I'm scheduled for March 12th which is less than seven days away. I was called earlier today with a time so now I kinda feel like its official. Bad Day

I'm very close to saying the heck with it. Its been over a year since my first consult with Dr. Poplawski in Columbus and its has been one thing after another. Only good thing about this is we have checked everything ( some twice) and I'm grateful we did. I've found out alot about myself that I may not have found out until later.. so for that I'm trying my best not to be impatient. (Not very easy to do) I've had my surgery scheduled twice and a week before (each time) It was stalled
. So I've had to put things on hold twice
. I had EVERYTHING ready to go. Bills paid in advance, fmla in for work, my mind, body and soul was ready for this. That was a month and a half ago
. ** now when I go down to columbus I hear my Dr. wont be Dr. Poplawski who was going to do RNY lap. The surgeon I'm with now says I would have to do the lap band because of health issues I have. But tomorrow I will call over to Michigan where Dr. Poplawski is and see what he thinks and I will drive to him to get the surgery. If he gives me good news. I felt from the first consultation that he keeps his patients informed and gives the pros and cons. Hopefully I will hear some good news and I can stop this rollercoaster ride that seems like its moving but isn't. Sorry to be so negative... but I had to get my feelings and frustrations out... so why not here. **** Crossing my fingers and toes for good news tomorrow.***
