oh my god, it seems so long ago and it has been a life time since I weighed in over 300 lbs
so much of life has changed:
the way people treat you was the first shock to me; actually really up set me for a long time when those people that never had the time of day for me suddenly wanted to be social?
there are those I can sense they are waiting for me to "slip up" and I have certainly witnessed others putting their weight back on.
but this is my life :)
I would like to have plastic surgery but financially I just cannot. the visit alone to the plastic surgeon was the best ...a wonderful woman, an artist actually because I have had the opportunity to see her work.....I will never forget her telling me that I could easily wear a bikini when she was done removing the skin. WHAT? I have never in my life worn a bikini and though I do love the water this is not my particular goal but it was extremely flattering to hear. so I do stil feel "thick" around the middle, I accept it.
it is by far the best thing I have ever done, having this surgery....obesity is light years behind me
it is not easy, there are a lot of things to deal with every day
I am just now getting where I can feel good about a compliment from someone.
I have more clothes than I ever had my entire life and can wear pretty much anything. having the ability to go into any store and know I can leave with something is the best feeling

Will I Ever Make My Goal
Mar 16, 2010
Hello all my fellow WLS friends.
Well here I am, 8 months out from surgery and I am so discouraged. I really want to drop 25 more pounds but have been stuck for a couple of months. I exercise a lot and re evaluating everything that goes in my mouth. I am thinking that the very small amount of water volume is slowing the weightloss down. So here I am getting back on track and setting a goal of losing those last 25 pounds by May 30th.
