My name is Craig, I am 40 years old and have been morbidly obese most of my life. I was just approved for my surgery today. I have been fighting my insurance company for almost 2 years to get them to approve it, they did today and I am very happy. I am getting my WLS at St Lukes in phoenix, Az by Dr. Fang. I will have the surgery on the 20th of November, so not really that far off, so any prayers will be very appreciated. It is still sinking in that I am actually approved, it has been a long battle. I had my surgery on november 15 they moved the date up from the 20th. I came thru the surgery well and have had a few small issues but so far so good. My weight was 495 lbs, I now am 405, so I lost about 90 pounds in about 10 weeks so I am very happy and definitely feeling better. I would love to hear from anyone that has had this surgery, and anyone that knows a good tasting protein drink would be fantastic, thanks

it has been a little over 6 months since the surgery and things are fantastic, I have lost about 150 lbs from 495 to 335, my life has so much improved. My only regret with the surgery is that I could not have gotten it sooner. I hope all the best to those that are going to get the surgery, you will love the results and your life will definitely improve, thanks
