and what a wonderful year it has been!!  I really have had no complicationsthe only complaint that I really have is the amount of hair loss that I've had, but part of that is my own fault as I was negligent on my protein for a while.  But I have lost 170 lbs since surgery and 200 since my 1st appointment with the surgenI went from a size 32 in pants to a size 16 and if it wasn't for all the skin I would probably be in a 12, definetely a 14, since I do fit in 14 but it is not a very pretty sight cuz of the excess skin it looks BAD!!!!    One really weird thing is I had to increase my cup size on my bra I was a 48c and now where a 38d  because of all the skin I had to increase the cup  would I do it over again?   You betcha!!!!

I've lost 27 lbs since my surgery 3 weeks ago, I'm so excited!!  I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever and actually am doing to good!  I can eat pretty much whatever I want and am eating a little bit to much as well, the nut and I have worked out a way that possably will help me a little in the future and I hope that it will, cuz I don't want to fail at this!!!

well I'm home, got home Thur pm all went well.  We( my friend Tammy, my daughter Katrina and I ) went up the night before and stayed in the hospitals hospitality room as I had to be there by 5:30 and it is over 1 1/2 hr drive there got  there about 6:30 pm, had to drive in a snow storm.  I got up at 4:30 after only sleeping about 2 hours and took my shower, got on my gown etc.  they come and get you right from your room for surgery.  I was preped for surgery, got my iv started, my compression stocking blowy up things on and belly scrub, was wheeled back for surg at 7am by 7:10 I was in neverever land.  I was done with surg about 9:30 and to my room about 11:30.  had a lot of trouble with nausea for 1st 48 hours but after that was fine. walked so much my legs hurt so bad I can barelly walk now!!!!

OMG, I was there forever!!! they told me to expect to be there 3-4 hours, but I did not believe them, well I was there 4 1/2 hours, they do not lie!!!

Had bone density scan, gave my 1 1/2 gallons of pee to the research people,(how they thought that a person only pees enough to fill that little jug they give you is beyond me, I filled a distilled water bottle as well almost).  Seen the PA, an insurance person, a RN went down to pre-addmitting and got registered, seen another RN, the Anistesiologist and then finally lab, I had to be fasting for 12 hours prior to lab, and I figured that that would be one of the 1st things done, oops wrong!!  Last, so I had been fasting for about 17 hours by the time I got that done, oh well I lived!!

Got the shock of my life when I found out that they would be inserting a foley, they told me not to worry that they would do it after I was asleep, well I'm thingking that I would rather have them do it when I was awake ( I know weird request but I'm not liking the fact that they would be messing around down there while I'm out cold and not knowing what they are doing!!)  I know that they wont do anything they shouldn't but I'm freaking out about that!!

Otherwise everything went good and I am ready to go!!  I will be the 1st case, so my surgery is scheduled for 5:30am, I was hoping for that so that I didn't have all day to think!!  I will be spending the night before in there hospitatlity room and they will come get me from there and take me right down to surgery, can't get any better then that!!

13 days to go,  cant wait!!!

Went for my pre op Nut visit.  Was down a few more pounds!!

Set up my Pre op with the PA which is January 8th.
I'm also going to take part in a research study that they are doing which will involve a little bit more blood work then what they already was going to do, a 24 hour urine, and a bone density test.  This will be done at my next visit as well as at 6 months and 1 year out, I believe.

I'm getting so excited!!  I sure hope that the time gets here quickly!!

January 22, 2008  I will start my new life!! with a new attitude!! I am so EXCITED I can hardly wait!!  This is something that I have needed and wanted for what seems like forever now!!  My wish is going to finally come true!!  I see my nutricianist on Tues Dec 18 for my preop with her and then I will make my appt with the PA for the LONG pre op appt. and before I know it it will be over and I will be on my way to a healthier, happier, skinnier me!!

I do have to appologize that I haven't kept everyone up to date, my surgery has been postponed for the time being until after the first of the year.  My plase of employment had originally approved my leave before thinking things threw and realizing that I would miss the 1st week of peek so I was asked if I could postpone it, they have been good to me there so I agreed. Im waiting to hear the new surgery date, but know that it will be some time between Jan 6 and Feb 23 cuz that is when the insurance approval runs out so it is not to far off! and at least I can get threw the holidays being able to eat more then pudding and jello!!

Got a call today from Gunderson and I have a surgery date of Nov 20  Cant wait!!
