June 12 back to work and re-learning how to live out here...

Not much on talking about myself...but i should probably update this thing. Its 45 days out from surgery and I'm down that much weight. Back on the real food again and its like I'm having to relearn everything. My mind is hanging onto the fact that it wants all that food....but my body is quick to shoot it the finger. I can eat about a cup to a cup and a half depending on what it is. So I am setting here typing this in jeans I havent worn sence 2000...I forgot how much i liked these jeans. I feel like my weight loss has slowed but I get told almost daily that I am shrinking so maybe I just dont see it. All is well so far...except for my hatred of those nasty vitamins...awful stuff..

Getting started....

Not too good at blogging so I'm about a week late. Here's what has happened so far. I had my surgery on April 29, stayed the first night of my life in the hospital starting out at 317. I have to say that first drink of water was certainly discouraging....but I got down the fluids. They kicked me out the next day around 11 or so. Off to a fairly normal start I suppose...
Its now May 8, I just weighed 295. Pretty cool I guess..but Its not hard when you cant eat anything! I have ate 2 boxes of popsicles, and been working on the Jello cups as well. Had a tiny bowl of egg drop soup a few nights as well. That stuff seems to work ok without too much drama. I go back for diet class on Monday the 11th. Im hoping she will say that my stomach is ready for life but I'm just dreaming. I am really wanting food..but I know I cant handle it. I got brave and tried some cream of mushroom soup....big mistake....I'll sure learn from that adventure. I've started reading the recipes that people have posted and that just makes my mental desire for food worse...but damn Im looking forward to firing up the grill again! Oh well just seems like Im along for the ride at this point. I hope when the food starts flowing its going to be this easy to stay the course. Oh and another thing...how the hell do I get my picture to fit the size requirements for this site??? Computer savy Im about a 3 prob. Soooo until next time....
