1 week later...

So I haven't really blogged about my journey. My Roux-En-Y bypass was one week ago today. My surgery was done in a German hospital by an excellent doctor. However, post-op recovering in the hospital was hard. After a couple of days I got "cremesuppes" but since i am not used to German milk products this didn't tickle my taste buds and was difficult to get down. I got to come home on Monday and have been just trying to figure things out. Day 1: I realized that i needed more protein in my protein shakes if I was going to get it all in during the day so I started added more unflavored protein powder into my drinks. It does make it thicker but it's easier to get my amount in now. Day 2: Drinking is hard. I really stink at sipping. So I tried my best but I didn't get all my fluids in. Day 3: So I found popsicles are my best friends and I have even started freezing crystal light in ice cube trays and crushing them with a meat tenderizer so it's easier to suck on. There is a little gas but not as much as what I had when I was sipping... because again I stink at sipping. So I think I have found my routine but we'll see. :)
