Making Progress
Jan 10, 2007
Well today I got a call from the Hospital. The lady said that I had given them the wrong number for my insurance card. Once I gave her the info, she told me she would email me and let me know what they said. About an hour or so later I got an email stating that my insurance plan covers the surgery. YAY!!! So now what I have to do is get my doctor to write a letter stating that she recommends that I get the surgery and give the clinic my medical records. I really hope that this works out. Cause I really want this.
NEXT STEP:
Psychiatric evaluation.

Starting the journey!!!

Last night I went to the educational seminar at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN. I have to say I really enjoyed myself. Learning about the differenct procedures, and seeing two ladies who are patients made me realize where I am now and where I can be later. I have been joking that was gonna get Lap-Band for months now. But after stepping on the scale lately, it is no longer a joke.
Today I faxed my 9 page patient questionaire to the clinic. Hopefully, this process will begin shortly. My biggest fear is the insurance approval/denial process. I have been blessed throughout my life, but when it comes to things that I want more than ever, I get disappointed. But hopefully, everything will go well. [crossing my fingers]. Although I circled lap-band on the questionaire, I am starting to reconsider. Hopefully I will make my mind up within the next couple of days.
