I honestly didn't think I'd be able to do it... but I am!!! This mornings weigh in showed another drop - down to 261.8 with clothes on, and 259.1 without!!! I am so jazzed, and am very hopeful that I'll be able to drop the remaining 1.8 pounds to reach a 10 pound loss by surgery!!! YAY!!! 

Last night, for whatever reason, it hit me... TWO weeks from now... I'll be laying in a bed in a hotel room waiting to "wake up" (like I'm going to get much sleep that night) to head over to the hospital and check in for my surgery. Oh my goodness, I hadn't had much apprehension until last night... daytime it's easy, and if I get a bit unsettled I usually pop on here to read positive outcomes and then I'm ok. But last night.... I hope I don't repeat that again! 

I'm so looking forward to getting this process another step - but am so pleased that I've been able to lose some weight while waiting for my "real" journey to begin. :) 

< < s i g h > > That's a happy, yet apprehensive, sigh. I'm anxious to get my surgery and hospital stay over with... and I'm anxious about going under for the surgery. I always am so this is nothing new. Yesterday I went out and purchased a small blender type gizmo to make protein smoothies with, both for now and  when I'm able to have them after surgery. I wonder, has anyone else experienced a lessening of hunger as they wait for their surgery date to get here? I am, for whatever reason, not nearly as "hungry" as I used to be... in fact my 3:30p.m. "snack attack" can often go by and I don't even realize that I missed it! Thank goodness!  

I'm rambling... and really need to get busy getting ready for a meeting we are going to today. So, with that I'll bid this missive ado and get on to life... and thats what this is all about anyways now isn't it! 

My doctors office called today, they've moved my surgery one week closer... now we're set for the 12th of April... which will mean that I'll be on liquids for our 15th anniversary (the 15th of April), but my consolation is that I will be much, MUCH healthier on our 16th anniversary! And... ready to hike in Alaska when we (finally) get to do the cruise that we've wanted to do so much. I swear, I'm going to quit trying to schedule something unique and fun every five years... it's just not worked out that way since the 5th year anniversary! LOL
