"At the pre-op seminar, Dr. Evanson was late because of an emergency surgery. When he did come in, I thought the he looked like a surfer \"dude.\" Not a bad impression, though. When he presented his part of the seminar, he didn't speak like a doctor. He got right down on our level and explained everything in our terms, no medical jargon. Dr. Evanson does strongly recommend WLS groups for before and after surgery. I think surgical competence is better than having a good bedside manner, but Dr. Evanson has both going for him. His office staff is great. They helped throught all the insurance requests."
