2015 - Revision

Aug 16, 2015

What a journey this has been.  I will never complain about the lap band as it brought me so far in my life to a healthier me.  Over the last 5 years I have gained 50 lbs, gone through several kidney stone surgeries, finished my degree, got my dream job, hernia repair, esophageal spams.  My stress level has been extremely high as my mother has lived with me through all of this and is now  going into dementia and I have had to have her put into an assisted living.  The things you learn!!!  I had my lap band removed/EGD 8 weeks ago.  I go in a week for the sleeve and am so excited to make this final journey with my weight.

Wow - Again I can't believe how long it has been since I have visited this site.  That is a testiment to the change that the lapband has made in my life.  I am down 140lbs from my surgery of 5/29/06.  WOW----  I have continued to loose this last year small amounts for my body has changed tremendously with all the dancing that I do.  I am trying to upload some current photos.  Maybe I will be successful - seems they are all too big - go figure.  Good Luck to all.

WOW

I can't believe it has been so long since I have been on here.  Surprising how your life changes when you loose so much weight.  Well update on the weight.  I will be 2 years out the first of June and have lost 135lbs.  My life has changed so much.  I am doing things that would never of thought of attempting to do.  Dating - a little - but that is a first.  Going out of town with people, dancing, dancing and dancing.  I love life.  This is the best thing that I ever did for myself.

Anniversary

Jun 05, 2007

Well I am about a week past my one year anniversary.  I was down 110 lbs on my anniversary.  The loss has really slowed down but I am thrilled with the overall progress.  I would do it again in a minute.  It has changed so much in my life.  I see more respect in peoples expression when they talk to me.  I love to buy clothes.  I could go on and one but the bottom line is I LOVE MY BAND!!

MADE IT!!!!!

Well today I am officially over the 100lbs mark.  Only .4 but every tenth counts.  I am now working toward the onederland.  Only 5 lbs to go.  If you had told me 10 months ago I would loose 100lbs  -  I would have told you that you were CRAZY.  It is absolutely wonderful.  Sometime I can actually feel it and other time (especially when you look at pictures) it is as though you still have the 100lbs.  I know I still have 49lbs to go to be at where I would like to be - but I am actually pleased with where I am.  My life is starting to even out - so things are great.  Getting my band was the best thing that I could of done for myself.  Having inspired several other at my work place as well as having my work review covering this procedure at the next contract renewal of our insurance is a great accomplishment for me.  Sometime I want to tell the world how great it is - but know that there will always be those sceptics.  But I don't care I LOVE MY BAND!!

Near the 100lb mark.

Wow I am 2 lbs from being down 100lbs.  This last 8 lbs have been tough.  I got a fill in February and they had to take it out.  GO figure?  I don't know why I couldn't keep it down.  I had not had a fill since 8/29/06.  Oh well, I went back March 4th and they pu tin .4cc.  The first week I didn't think it was going to be enough.  Come Sunday - Oh my gosh! - I've got restriction back.  I have been loose for 60-90 days and it is an adjustment all over again.   I guess my weight loss had really slowed down due to eating more food.  Again, go figure?

OK, I am 2 lbs from having lost 100lbs. and 7 lbs from being down under the 200lb mark. I am getting so excited to hit that milestone.  Maybe tomorrow, or the next but hopefully before the end of the week. Wish me luck!

Well I finally made it past 90 lbs.  As of today I am down 93lbs.  I went for a fill this last weekend.  They put in 3/4 cc in my 4cc band and then had to take out all of 1/10th of a cc.  I was sort of disappointed but I have lost 3 lbs this week - so I am not complaining.  I started a circuit weight training class as the college here.  OMG!  I am dying.   Every muscle in my body hurts.  But they say that is a good thing.  I don't know.  I hope things continue as they are going.  Since my weight loss has slowed down I think I will have to revise my goal for 1 year.  At the 2 year mark I would like to be down 150lbs.  I would like to reach 130 at the year mark but that is 4 months off and I am not sure that I can make that.  Loving live, enjoying school except I am ready for it to be over.  Till later-------------

It has been a long time since I have posted.  I guess when life is going well not everything gets done.  I only lost 4 pounds this last month. I was very disappointed.  I had 90 lbs as my goal for the end of the year but I am not going to beat myself up that I didn't make it.  I got really close.  I am debating whether I need a fill or not.  I am eating more than normal, but it is also the Christmas holidays and there is food everywhere.  Did I eat to much or did I start to hit a plateau.  I slacked off on my exercising with all the activities, finals, etc.  Oh well - later.
