Back on Track
Aug 17, 2009
It is time to get back on track to having my surgery. After a long and emotional talk with my wife and mom I have to get the ball rolling again. My health is declining and at 31, I should be able to mow my front lawn. I have slowly gained almost 100 lbs in 5 years. With a history of heart problems in my family and the troubles my father has had, I have to do something. Do something for my wife, my family and mostly me.
I came extremely close to getting approved late last year, but was let go and lost insurance. My wife and I had insurance from her school, but it was not great. We are back with the BCBS and hope I will be able to be approved again. Keep your fingers crossed.

One Month Down
May 06, 2007
It is time I get serious about loosing weight. I have started my insurance company's 6 month diet. Things were going well at first, I have lost about 13lbs. The last few weeks, not so good. I have a very bad habit of eating late at night before I go to bed. I get home from work about 11:45 and have to munch.
I am doing great with working out. I have been walking about 15 minutes each day. To push myself, I am riding the stationary bike about 10 minutes. I am just to heavy to try and jog. My knees won't take it.
Overall I am feeling great. That is the biggest plus of all.
