Weight loss is slow but steady.
Jul 14, 2007
I've lost about 30 lbs. so far. Only half as much as my sister. I've had 2 fills so far, and the band is only about 1/2 full. But I feel it's working like it's supposed to now. It's forcing me to slow down, chew more thoroughly, and eat smaller portions. I have a membership at a gym. I've gone a couple of times, but I got to figure out when's the best time to go so I can go more often.
After the surgery

04/06/2007 Well, it was not as painful as I thought it would be. I'm still a little soar and nauseated at times. But mostly I'm just tired. And hungry. I'm still supposed to be on a liquid diet, but I've been sneaking bites of cottage cheese or peanutbutter. Then last night I tried some cheese and salomi. That was a mistake. Gonna try to be better today.

03/31/2007 We went out to Red Lobster this afternoon. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Should of had a steak. Tomorrow I'll be on a clear liquid diet, then NPO at midnight.
One week before my surgery
Mar 28, 2007
03/28/2007 One week before my surgery I drove down to my sister's to be with her for her surgery! (She had the bypass @ OSU and I'm having the banding @ Akron City.) It was all very exciting until she came back to her room nauseated and in pain. Her nurse medicated her right away and she looked much more comfortable. All I can think about now is the pain I have chosen to put myself through for the sake of obtaining a healthier weight.
A little bit scary.
