Well, I have not been doing my patient job by neglecting my profile so here goes. My original surgery was November 6, 2006. I was doing well until about 4 weeks post op I had a stricture. I had it fixed and was feeling great. My diet was progressing well even though I was not able to drink my protein shakes like planned but everything else was working out. Then 2 weeks later I had another stricture. When the doctor went in to fix the stricture there was so much scar tissue that the tissue tore and I had to go in for emergency surgery to fix my pouch. Since there was so much scar tissue and ulcers on my pouch the doctor from what I understand had to "redo" my pouch and now being 6 weeks post op I am starting over again. I am back to liquids again and depression is worse than ever this time. The first time I had some depression that I was not sure what to do with but in time it went away and compared to now it was nothing. A few days ago I was sure that I was going to die and that I made the biggest mistake of my life. However, now things seem to be coming along and I am feeling better. I am back to being hungry for all kinds of food which I thought I was over but it seems to have regained strenght since this second surgery. Hopefully this will pass soon. Ok and for the best part I have lost 44lbs so far. Yeah. I had forgot over the past week what I had done this for. Remembering my original goals is helping me get back on my feet. Until next time.

Well, I am doing much better lately. I still have a feeding tube in but I go and see Dr. Fang tomorrow and hopefully he will remove it. I am more than ready for it to come out. I have been eating and tolerating food well and ready to go back to work asap. I have lost a total of 56 lbs according to my home scale and I am 10 weeks post op from the first surgery. Anyway things are going well thank goodness.
