And so it begins.

242. Seriously, Christyn? 242? At 9 months pregnant, I'm not sure that you were ever that heavy (pretty close, though). But 242. With behaviors that you know are adding to that number and justifying it to yourself every time you order a large sandwich instead of a small. With every time you make a pit stop for a cheese stick and leave with a King-size Kit Kat. When you're having a bowl of mac n cheese when you've just eaten dinner. You know better. Your father, grandparents, aunt and uncles have diabetes. YOU had diabetes when pregnant with the kids,. You know the risk associated with these stupid binge-eating sessions. You know that instead of standing in front of the fridge and getting another snack, you can find something more constructive and healthy to do with your time. What are you teaching the kids? It's time to take control. And so we begin.
Surgery is scheduled for 3/19 - lap band. A way to control portions and finally get a grip on what you're doing to your body. A way to become disciplined and teach your children about portion control and the right way to eat. A way to insure that you're not going to follow in family footsteps and make a healthy life for yourself.
And so it begins...
