Back at home with five little incisions on my tummy and coming to realize that learning this whole new way of eating, especially for the first month is a full time job. Happy to have my kids and family members swarming around taking care of me and the household chores. Lots of friends and loved ones calling and sending tokens of affection, flowers cards. More reasons to be grateful for a new start in life. So blessed to have met my beautiful support friends from the bariatric clinic prior to the surgery who gave me gifts that will help in the beginning stages, a pill crusher for vitamins, protein shakes all measured out and labeled for the first month and a load of invaluable hints and advice.
