Hi, my name is Michelle and I am 44 years old and have been overweight most of my life. I reseached the weight loss surgery for a couple of years before deciding on the surgery for myself. I finally had the surgery on May 24, 2007 I weighed 376 pounds when I had my surgery today I have lost about 50 pounds. It hasn't been easy. there have been some struggles along the way. But it has all been worth it. I thank God for my surgery it has saved my life. I am off of all my diabetes meds and all my blood pressure meds. I did have a set back about 3 weeks after my surgery, i ended up in the hostipal with a blood clot in my lung. This has been hard to get over. And I am now on blood thinners which seem to make me tired alot of the time. But am getting better.I just started a going to Curves, this will help with the weight loss. And I have started back in school. I do have more engery since I have lost some of the weight. I can't wait till all the weight is gone
