"I liked Dr. Siddiqui right away! He is very warm and takes the time to talk with you. I had met with one of his partners (Dr. Cleary) for my initial consult, where we decided I qualified for laparoscopic. That's Dr. Siddiqui's specialty, so I was scheduled for surgery with him. I first met him when I went in for my EGD- he came in smiling, shook my hand, and asked, "Are you ready?" I loved his attitude!! This great personality continued on to the morning of surgery and he had me totally at ease: my surgery was delayed because Dr. Siddiqui had taken his time, getting everything 'just so' and he came in to explain to me what was going on. Post surgery, Dr. Siddiqui kept an eye on me and was very happy with my progress. The day I was released, he came in and shook my hand, told me how great I was doing and he'd see me in 7 to 10 days.
I have to give Dr. Siddiqui a "10" when it comes to professionalism and job-knowledge. The nurses who cared for me after surgery all agreed that he was a perfectionist- he took his time and did the work correctly. They said his surgeries most often ran over because of this factor and I appreciated that. I know I was taken care of and in very good hands.
My aftercare with Dr. Siddiqui and his office has been outstanding. The office has a support group, which meets 2 times a month and they're really great meetings! You hear serious topics, we laugh at lots of silly little things that only pre-WLS and post-WLS can appreciate, and it's a very warm, relaxing setting.
My only complaint about Dr. Siddiqui was that I didn't see him as much as I would have liked to, during my hospital stay. I was checked on by resident docs, who were all very professional and answered all my questions, so this issue wasn't a 'biggie' for me.
If you're considering using Dayton Bariatric Center, you'll be in very good hands! "
