Surgery behind me!

So glad to have the surgery behind me. I've had no complications from the procedure and I'm 8 days postop. The only thing is the pain at the incision where the port is....ouch!!! I'm not sure if I pulled something or if that is completely normal, but I'll ask my doc at my postop visit tomorrow. Was not retaining fluids in the beginning but I am now...wonder if anyone else does that or if it's just me. Anyway, just so excited about this journey!

Less than two weeks!

I am so excited! Less than two weeks until my surgery. I am still on a low carb diet. Really trying to stick to it....weight loss is sooooo slow. Doc says probably that way b/c of the PCOS. Hopefully with weight loss, I will lose symptoms of PCOS completely! I know I will....if I do my part, God will take care of the rest! 285 today...will update again at the end of the week.My first blog ever!!!

My little girl is asleep giving me the perfect opportunity start blogging. I found out on April 14th that my lap band surgery will be May 10, 2010. I am super excited. I've been following a low carb diet(dr's orders) for over two weeks and will continue until 2 days before surgery when I switch to liquids only. Bring it on...I can do this! I know a lot of people get nervous about having this surgery and the lifestyle that comes along with it. But, ya know, I am at peace that I've made the right decision. I have prayed about it every step of the way and God has opened every door necessary for this surgery for me. I am so thankful.
I'll keep updating as I progress in this journey. I'll leave with this scripture:
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27
There is NOTHING impossible for my God!
