I have scheduled my surgery date. I was on the Kessler Air Force waiting list for about 6 months and they called last week and scheduled me. My surgery date is coming up on Feb. 15, 2005. I am so excited. Tricare didn't hassel me because I was getting it done on a military base. Wish me luck.

It has been almost 3 months since i had my surgery. Things were rocky at first. I am down from 280 to 237. I did get discourged when i started to plateau. But my fellow Obesity help members says thats normal. I exercise at least 3 to 4 days a week for an hour and a half. I don't know if i'm working out to much could be causing the plateaus. Or could it be the weights that my trainer has me lifting??? I'm not sure but i do see the inches coming off. For the last week i have been having alot side and lower stomach pain. I go see my surgeon next week. Hopfully he can tell me whats going on. But thats it for now.

Today I saw my doctor for my three month check-up. I am finally down to 230 so thats 50 pounds gone. Thank goodness. But I am having som problems. I have been having stomach pain like crazy and he can't figure out whats wrong with me. He did X-rays and the swallow test and everything was normal. So this is unknown pain for the both of us. I will see him again monday if the pain doesn't go away. I said if anything can go worng it will go wrong for me..But i'm going to stay positive and breath through this pain. I'm happy with the weight loss so the pain is just a minor set back. Will update you later.......

Hello my fellow members on the loser side. Today i am having such a wonderful day. I have been working out on the regular and i can now see the muscle tone in my body. But i do think i am going to need plastic surgery on my arms and inner thighs. But hey that is left to be seen. My doctor says i'm doing great. He wants me to have lost 100 pounds by August. I know i can do it because it only took about 3 and a half months to loose 50. I will check back in with you all soon.

Hello everyone. I am doing fine i guess. The weight is coming off very slow but its getting there. I have zero hair loss but a little shedding. I have lost a total of 65 pounds so far. Hey 15 pounds is better then nothing at all. I am getting alot of support from my family and friends. My husband is always there now..MMMmm can you imagine.....My children see the difference and they are so proud of me. I am finally in a 14w and i am so excited. I haven't worn a 14 since i was 13... Thats a long
time ago seeing that i am 27 now...LOL.....I will try to keep everyone in form. See ya next month with an update.

Hello everyone. My day was ok i guess. I waited in the docotors office for three hours.... I was pretty upset but hey i got over it. Today was my six month checkup and i am 71 down...YEAH YEAH For me. My doctor said i am way ahead of schedule. I was happy with that. I have absolutly no hair loss considering my hair is down my back. My skin has lightened up. I feel great, full of energy. I don't have to see the doc. for another 6 months and we are going to scedule my tummy tuck then. So i will up date again next month...

Hi everyone. Things have been good with my health. I plateaued the entire month of August. It was a roller coaster. I am finally down to a size 12 and weighing 208. Hey two pounds is better than nothing at all. I am happy with the way i feel and look for the most part. We just had a major hurrican Katrina come through the coast. I was blessed because i only lost my expediation. But many poeple lost family members and there homes.. For everyone who went through this disaster my prayers are with you........ Today is a very good day for me. I am finally 198 and happy.I am a size 12 and getting smaller. Some 10 i can wear. I am happy with the outcome of the surgery. I have no hair loss what so ever. I am in the Nursing program and thats taking all my time. But i refuse to be that fat nurse.... Thank GOD for this surgery.

Hello everybody out there loving life, like me. I know i haven't posted any new information in awhile but school has kept me busy. The weight is coming off but very slowly. I am 191.8 right now. But hey at leasts its coming off. I still don't have any hair loss. I feel great. I will be posting a new picture of me at this weight. When i get to my goal I will post more. They are closing the hospital on the base where i am so i will have to wait until i transferr to have my tummy tuck. My husband says i don't need it...HA HA HA...I think he was being modest. But i will undate after the Christmas hoslidays when i am over the 100lbs mark.

Hello people on the losing side. I know i haven't updated in a few months but nothing has changed. I am still 191 and stuck. I have kicked up my workout and nothing is changing. But i want complain because i feel amazing inside and out... If something does change or when i hit the 100lbs mark i will update again......Kisses

04/02/2007 I know its been awhile since i updated. I have finally finished nursing school. Yeah for me and i am offically licensed...As for my weight nothing has changed. I have been 180 for while now. But i am happy. I can stay at this weight an be just as content as if i was 160. My goal was 160 but i think thats to skinny for me...LOL...Seeing that i am 5'7. To everyone out there thats starting there journey. The road is long and sometimes hard but the ending is well worth the effort. If you feel discourged or just feel things are going wrong please feel free to email me or any of the other OH members. We have been in your position and we are here to help. I know its been a long time since i added anything to this page. Right now i am going through the issues of gaining some of the weight back. Its not because of my eating habits but i'm having some other female issues which, now i have to take steriod injections for three months. The doctor said that gaining weight is a side effect. Yes, that made me cry and very depressed. But i'm dealing with it. I gained 12 pounds in the last 3 weeks. But i'm ok. One good thing, is today the doctor gave me a diet pill to coinside with the weight gain. So hopfully this pill works. I will be adding new photos soon. Everyone stay blessed.
