Two weeks... gone like that!?

In two weeks, i've lost more than 12 pounds (haven't weighed myself in a couple days)...

This is the beginning of the beginning....

Wow!  So much has happened in the last week!  Just a week ago, I thought that surgery wasn't possible for six more months!  Thanks, BCN, for sending me that letter saying i needed 12 mos of weight loss documented.  Then , to get a phone call on Thurs saying I was approved, and there was a cancellation for Monday (yesterday) for surgery... could i do it?  I didn't think it would be possible with work... and got quite the suprise when my boss encouraged it!  Got the ex to pay for my car payment just one more month so I could afford the lost pay check... got my love to be there for me at the hospital!  God my family to watch my son.... wow!!  And... surgery confirmed on Fri, to take place Monday.

Now, it's Wednesday... I'm at my family's house... got out of the hospital yesterday... a full day or two before i thought i could.  Moved up two Phase II of the meal plan a day or two early...

See, I thought i'd be a stubborn chick... which is my normal character.  However, the reality of the matter is that I'm not being stubborn!  I'm just taking things one day at a time, and it seems to be paying off!  I don't need to be super stubborn or super woman in order to heal quickly!  Trust me, i'm not healed... I'm in quite a bit of pain and my lungs are quite congested... but i'm getting there!  Each day is better!!

So, time for a little history...

By 6th grade, i was about 200 pounds.  Yes - this is true.  Very sad... but true.  I graduated high school at about 270ish?  Maybe a few pounds more.  Got down to 230ish in college temporalily... went back up to 270 before joinging weight watchers and getting down to about 184.  Started gaining weight while still working out like crazy and dieting... was told to eat less and work out more... cuz working out 1-2 hours a day, five to six days a week... and eating 1200 cals or less isn't enough!?

Two years later, i was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism... so, guess the weight gain wasn't all my fault, huh, doc!?

Got pregnant and was diagnosed at the same time... my weight got up to 330ish?... oy!!  Dropped back down to about 290 after pregnancy... however, crept back up to about 312.

This is when i left my husband...

Got down to about 290, until i started the liquid diet, which got me to 278.

So - this is where i stand today... two days post op... the most amazing support person in the world!  My bestie having gone through the band, and working on getting it revised to RenY... my family is being amazing!!

Amazing how this process brings you closer to those who really SHOULD be in your life!!

Now... when i can take better care of my son - i will feel better!!

Thanks all or now!
