The last time I remember being a normal weight was when I was four years old and had my tonsils out. It was uphill from there. Through out school I was never really fat, but always a little "healthier" than the other girls. After my first child, I began to travel the weight gain highway. By the time I was 25 I was 35 pounds overweight. By 35 I was 80 pounds overweight. I have jumped back and forth between 160 and 190 ever since.
Now I am 53 and trying to get approved for WLS. I have been diabetic for 13 years. I have GERD. I have had Esophogeal Spasms. Major depression. High cholesterol. All the aches and pains . Fibromyalgia. Thyroid problems. The usual stuff. I am only at 37.2 BMI now.
I have a fight ahead of me to get qualified. I guess we've all been there. It's great to have you fellow travelers to lean on for support!
Peace to all. Make Love, Not War! all that 60's stuff that is so relevant today. Having 2 sons in Iraq at the same time will make any Mother dust off her Peace signs!
