I am retired from the Canadian Military after 19 years of service, my career ended earlier then expected due to injuries I aquired during my service. Most of my life I was in good shape and able to manage my weight by running daily, plus the daily activities that my job required.
After I was injured I was unable to keep up my daily workouts and I became quite depressed...I started to gain weight at a very rapid rate, this is when the yo-yo dieting started and my story pretty much is the same a most everyone elses'.
Two years ago my sister (Shelster on my friends list)  had WLS and it helped her so much, she spoke to me about WLS and I thought I would never qualify for it. Well guess what I was wrong and I have to thank my sister Shelly for talking me into taking this journey!!!

So my WLS journey begins.....I think the one thing I am looking forward to is running again...I guess just doing the things I love, riding my horse, hiking, swimming, rock climbing, riding my motorcycle...geeezzzzz....I can't wait....Ummmm maybe the West Coast Trail...lol......
So that is my story! Thank you for taking the time to read it.
