Working from home

Mar 23, 2010

I'm an independent real estate broker, working from my home.  Fortunately, much of my business is conducted online and over the phone, so I am able to still give my clients the service they deserve while recuperating.   Monday was a long day, though.
One of my neighbors commented yesterday that it looks like I have lost a little weight.  (Music to my ears.  And my first "you look like you are losing weight" comment.)
I said "I'm working at it".
The scale is actually going down.  Wow.  It's starting to happen.   I'm excited!

First Walk Outside...

Mar 22, 2010

Yesterday morning I took my Westie, Millie, for a walk around the circumference of the park across the street from my home.  She stopped for potty breaks.  I fortunately brought more than one poop bag.  We made it, and I felt much refreshed.  I will do the same thing this morning.  It's amazing how much more delightful walking around nature is than walking the hospital's halls....
I have now lost all of the weight I gained from surgery.  I'm excited to see the scale go down into new territories.

RNY 3/16/10

Mar 21, 2010

My RNY surgery was laporascopic and was performed 3/16/10 by Dr. Cirangle at Good Samaratin Hospital in San Jose. This hospital is a "Center of Excellence" for bariatric surgery, and I would highly recommend it.   Dr. Cirangle is an excellent surgeon, and his staff works well as a team.
