I say Carla in the hospital on Tuesday (the day after her surgery) and besides being a little nauseous when I got there, she was recovering well. The nurse came in a gave her a shot for the nausea and she shortly fell asleep. I was told by her friend Debbie that she was doing much better today, than the day of surgery. Hang in there, Carla, each day gets better.

Well y’all… Carla Baker has made it to the other side!!! I talked to her friend Debbie (Carla is still pretty medicated) and she said that Carla is doing just fine. She has been asking for pain shots, but the nurses have told her she needs to wait a bit more before they can administer them. Dr. Naaman was able to do her RNY laproscopicaly, and that she did great during surgery. I will be visiting her tomorrow around noonish and will give more of an update then. I am hoping she will be like me on the second day, alert and have no memory of today. Keep Carla in your thoughts as you go through the day and take a moment to remember where we all have come from. Take care Carla, Mel
