Hello my name is Cari. I am 38 years old..married to Rick for 21 years. I have always been over weight and have always wanted to be "normal size"....whatever that is! I have tried every diet out there with little success. In 2000 we adopted our first child. He really opened my eyes to the reasons i needed to find some way to lose weight and become healthier. We have since adopted two other children. Now I am happily a mother to Dallas 9, Kenton 7, and Reni 6. They keep me busy to say the least..and made me realize just how out of shape i was. I found myself with a racing heart beat...aching joints...rising blood pressure..and exhausted and falling behind more and more. This is what brought me to the decision of having the LapBand placed. Let me assure you it was the greatest decision i have ever made! I am close to 4 months post op and down 41lbs!!!! I feel so much better..and most important I am a better Mom to my kids. I know my future looks bright and healthy. I see myself in a years time being the size I have always dreamed of being. It isn't all about size and looking good....i will be so much healthier. But, the looking good and the much smaller size is just a bonus. :)
