Hi my name is Caren,and today is the first day of the rest of my life,
I do not ever remember being small. I can look at my wedding pictures(1978) and see a smaller person but I have always said " I was born a size 18". I do not ever remember being the same size as my friends.
I had my first child at 17 and I gained 50lbs with him, and I am still trying to loose that plus about 150lbs more. I had my second child at 25 and the Dr. told me to not gain over 20lbs. I was good and only gained 21. After he was born I went on diet pills and lost 50lbs in 3 months, it stayed off about 6 months and doubled when it went back on.
In 1997 I went on PhenPhen for 30 days( the last 30 days it was on the market). In 2004 I learned that 30 days of PhenPhen and made me develope Pulmonary Hypertention. I spent 78 days in the hospital in 2007 after I coded on the table of a CT Scan. My pulmonary pressure was 127 and normal is 20-25. My pressure now with lots of meds is down to about 50-60.
Since I was sick in 2007 I have really had a hard time breathing and doing any kind of exercise. Therefor I have put on another 60lbs.
My surgery (all self pay $20,500.00) is scheduled for Feb 7, 2011 and I am sooooo excited.
I have a saying that I live my life by that was my Dads saying until he passed in 2002.
" I have never had a bad day, just some are better than others"
I think if I can incorporate that into my WLS... I can do it !!!!
