I was concerned because I've stayed in the same range for months now...
I'm still not under 200# and he thought I would be back at my April fill.
I'm still wearin XL and 16's. One of these days they'll be too big.

Changing
Nov 05, 2007
We went to a dinner party this past friday night and Bill Sinclair told me that I've lost the equivalent of 8 gallons of milk. He said try lifting those... that's alot of weight! Each gallon weighs 5 lbs. That was food for thought. ;)
I've been walking (today i walked to 75th Street and back; that's 22 blocks times 2... 22 going and coming back.
Then today was our swim day too, so we swam laps for 35 minutes. Yesterday we rode our bikes down to the end of the boardwalk and back.
When you can move, MOVE!!!!

This morning I weighed 219. I will be in onederland before I know it! That's 39# gone foreva! LOL!
This friday I go for my first fill.
I've been swimming every other day at the rec center, walking (yesterday 24 blocks up and 24 back home) and biking. I made it to 1st St. a few weeks ago, and I never ever did that before!!!!
I feel energized like never before.
Sometimes I forget to chew chew chew... and my body reminds me quick. I do the unjury once a day usually. Last night I made the pumpkin pudding recipe that came in the last Vanilla order. YUM!!!!
We had our annual sign up dinner this past saturday night and people seemed amazed. Quite a few of the ladies told me that everything about me has changed. I thought WOW has it? or has your perception of me changed? I've learned to say Thank You
A LOT.
My clothes tell me that my body is totally different. Nothing fits except for things I have held onto for yrs that didn't fit for years!! It's pretty amazing to go in my closet and try on pants and tops and have them fit and even be LOOSE in some cases! what FUN!!!!
4 Days After Lapband
Sep 10, 2007
Today I felt better than yesterday and only took one nap. I made the mistake of trying to walk Weston & Teddy this evening. They saw a Golden Retriever and wouldn't stop barking and pulling so we turned around and I put them in the house and went on without them. I have to get my 3 walks in. I took them out individually earlier so i guess that's what I'm going to have to do til I heal so i won't worry about pulling something like MY PORT!!!!!
I am so glad that Dr. Fontana put me on the liquid diet for 10 days before surgery. I am so used to it and graduating to a FULL liquid diet allows me more choices. like oatmeal. I look forward to that every morning. I have the regular oatmeal packets and i sprinkle it in the bowl with some cinnamon & add a packet of splenda and water til it's nice and soupy and WALA! It is really good and satisfying!
I'm also using the UNJURY for protein. For lunch today I put half a scoop into my (I forgot) and tonight i added a scoop to 8 oz 1% milk and a packet of vanilla instant breakfast. :) (sugar free, of course!) yummm and that is satisfying too. It takes a while to get it down sipping... since I can't gulp.

I lost 13.5# on the liquid diet before surgery!!!!

TWO MORE SLEEPS
Sep 04, 2007

I can do this! The liquid diet has gone better than I had anticipated and I am READY!!!! I'm not nervous or scared I'm EXCITED! This past week has really shown me that I can succeed at whatever I want to. Joe told me that last week;
"I have NO DOUBT that you will do this!"
I've stepped up the exercise too. I've had so much energy I have to do something with it. So I swim laps and walk. I tried to stay active and take my mind off of not eating the first few days, then I felt so good I had to do more!
