What a difference a week makes. My goodness I feel better. I'm getting in all my protein, dairy but I'm having trouble still with veggies. I guess that's a week two project.

My "wounds" are almost healed and my side pain is minimal (unless I stretch or lift......I know, don't stretch or lift!). I am walking everyday, but not as much as I should. Baby steps.

I'm off to the Beach in St. Pete for a little R&R.....I know the sea water will be tempting, but I'll do my best to resist. How I love the Gulf.

It's been very stressfull getting through this and I find myself very emotional now. I'm even crying at commercials. My body has been "wacked" out so I think a few days relaxing, reading and walking on the beach will be a terrific way to recouperate. Work can wait until next week!

Well, that was certainly an interesting 4 days. I'm sure it's just a blip on the radar of my life....but it was certainly a big blip. I had to stay an extra day in the bariatric unit since I coudn't keep anything down.....bummer. Got home Thursday night and slept fo 13 hours. With all the gadgets and beeps, don't expect to sleep much in the hospital. I truly think they wait until you are approaching REM to take a tempurature or BP. What a blurr now.

Yesterday I dray 30 oz of fluids including to protein shakes. Today I'm going for 60 oz. The last place I want to end up is back on IV's. Walking is much easier too as I'm able to walk enough to make my dogs bark at me.....(where's mom going without us?).

Today is the last "fluids only" day and then off to puree' tomorrow. Can't wait! Truly....tuna fish even sounds good.

Today I'm feeling MUCH better.....this liquids thing really isn't so bad as long as you pace yourself.  If you wait too long in between drinks, you start getting very hungry.

Tomorrow, all clear liquids....my poor girlfriend.  She's already seeing a change in my moods....MORE of them.  Yikes, Run Forest, Run!!!

 

UGH!!!!  This is an exhausting routine.  It's easy to drink but wow, I'm tired.  I have four more days until surgery and I've already lost 9 pounds doing this.  I'm starving.....

Tomorrow is another day! 

I am now scheduled for surgery on October 16, 2007!!!  I'm scared, excited, nervous and thrilled.  I'm hoping to have a seat on the loser's bench very soon.

Well, I'm the perfect candidate for successful WLS!  Yeah!  and yes, I have issues!!!  I am now waiting for my nursing call to find out next steps.  I met with Jennifer with scheduling on Thursday.  She was very helpful and then it was down to the hospital office to open up my account.  

This is an exciting time, but still very unerving.  It'll be great to get a surgery date soon.

I just made my appointment to see the psychologist on Thursday.  Hopefully she'll see me insane enough to go forward....lol.  I'm looking forward to getting the details completed so I can go forward with my new life.
