I am 35 years old and have been overweight since I was about 24 years old. My sister/best friend, Anica, had her surgery 11/18/08. I am happy we have each other for support. The reason I am having the surgery is because to (of course look better) but more importantly to FEEL better. I ache and is tired all the time. I'm too young to feel this way. I also have a 9 year old diabetic son with terrible eating habits and they say "Don't talk the talk if you can't walk the walk". So I am doing this for him to be a good example. I also have a daughter going on 2 years old and I am hoping to save her from some of the bad eating habits I had as a child which lead me to this problem. So I am very excited and scared. But I am ready to make this life long commitment.
