Hi Kristi: I am sheryl in NM. I was 5 days post op before I had my first bm. they would not let me go home until I had one.I am now very regular at 9 months out and no diarea.I am eating almost what I want except sweets and a lot of carbs.I do eat fresh veg., fruit sometimes, and meat. I do eat peanut butter and pretzils sparingly.once in a while I eat cornbread and milk. I am 82 down and 70 before my surgery. so I am 152 lbs down in about a year.I am enjoying being out doors now and walking 15 to 20 min. a day with aquasize and pool theropy 3 days a week.
