5 days post-op

5 days post-op and I am feeling pretty darn good. I am having problems getting into a schedule, but other than that, I feel great! I am trying to figure out how to "fit in" all the meds/protein/food/vitamins/fluids and it's only the 1st week!!
I'm sure things will get better. I just want to make sure I'm following all the rules for the best possible outcome.

5-day Liquid Diet...ugh

So, today starts my 5 days of my liquid diet. My surgery is scheduled for Monday, July 23rd! I am excited, but am already forcing down my first protein shake. Oh, it's gonna be a long road. I guess I'll just pick up 1 of each different kind of shake and see which one tastes the best (?).

I finally got the call today to schedule my surgery! I am beyond excited. My RNY is scheduled for July 23rd!! I only have 1 month to wait. I am so ready to start losing this weight and become a happier healthier me.
Funny thing happened tonight...I have only told a few people about my journey and tonight I told a very close friend. She told me that she is actually scheduled to have LAP Band on the 12th of July. I had no idea! I wonder just how many of us struggle to "justify" our decisions to our friends and family?

Wow. I'm shocked! Only 1 day to get my approval! I talked to the surgeon's office and scheduling will call with my surgery date by the end of the week. This is really happening!!

I had my final pre-op appointment on the 12th of June with my surgeon. The office staff advised me that all of my paperwork was ready for submittal to the insurance company and they would "file it today". Also, they added that my insurance company (Tricare) was quick with approvals and I should know something by the end of the week (6/15).
Well, I didn't hear anything, so I called yesterday. Nope, still waiting. I impatiently called Tricare, who informed me that they had not received anything from the surgeon! Great. I called the surgeon's office and was told it was being sent today. Being sent for real this time?? We'll see.
Sorry for the venting....I just want to know one way or the other so I can start planning!!
