This Thursday will make 1 month and I have lost 28 lbs (at 28 day's post-op) I feel great, except my incision's are extreamly itchy!!!!! If anyone know's about a good way to help with this please let me know. I'm so glad i made this decision.

So, I had my WLS and I had no pain and went home the next day. I should have stayed the full 2 day's in the hospital since I ended up having rectal bleeding and had to go back into the hospital to be observed for 24 hours. The Dr. assured me that the blood was old blood in my intestines from the surgery. The bleeding lasted 1 week. I am also one of the unfortunate people (1 in 20) that is still hungry after the surgery.
I'm in my second week now and I'm starting to feel  normal again.
So far I have lost 17 pounds!!!! I have my nutrition appointment this Friday so I can begin on the stage 4 diet (thank god), I can only do chicken broth for so long.....

I am scheduled to have WLS on 2/26/09. I cried when the Dr.'s office called to let me know. I am excited and  scared. Most importantly I am committed to living a healthier lifestyle for myself and my children.
