I AM SCHEDULED FOR THIS COMING MONDAY. I WENT AND MET THE DR THAT IS GOING TO DO THE SURGERY.  I COULDN'T USE MY CURRENT DOCTOR BECAUSE HE IS OUT OF NETWORK.  ANYWAY HE WAS SO NICE AND HE AGREED THAT THE LAP BAND WAS THE BEST PROCEDURE FOR ME.  I AM SO EXCITED AND LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.  

Ok I have decided to do the Lap Band, I know I was against it, but if it's between the rny and lap Band I think this latter is better for me. They have to resubmitt my info to the insurance company again, but hopefully I hear something soon and am scheduled for June. We have to wait again.

AS OF NOW I HAVE CANCELLED MY SURGERY DATE,  I AM REALLY SCARED ABOUT THE SURGERY AND HAVE DECIDED TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT I DECIDE WHAT TO DO. MY HUSBAND IS SCHEDULED FOR JULY 21 AND I AM GOING TO SEE HOW HE DOES BEFORE I GO ALONG WITH MY SURGERY. I REALLY NEED TO GO SEE MY DOCTOR AND SEE WHAT HE THINKS I SHOULD DO. THIS WEBSITE IS WONDERFUL IN THE SENSE THAT YOU CAN SEE HOW WELL PEOPLE ARE DOING AFTER THEIR SURGERY BUT I ALSO READ ALL THE PROBLEMS AND ISSUES PEOPLE HAVE HAD SINCE SURGERY.  IT BECOMES VERY SCARY. I CAN SEE MYSELF BEING THINNER AND WHAT THAT WOULD BE LIKE BUT THE THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING THAT GOES ALONG WITH THIS SURGERY IS OVERWHELMING. MY COWORKER WHO JUST HAD THE SURGERY JUST TOLD ME THAT SHE KNEW THAT I WOULDN'T DO IT BECAUSE I AM BACK AND FORTH. 
I'M WONDERING HOW MANY PEOPLE OUT THERE ACTUALLY CANCELLED THEIR SURGERY AND THEN DID DO IT AND HOW DO THEY FEEL NOW?

I have a date it is May 14th. I am scared and terrified. I really wanted to do the gastric sleeve but my insurance doesn't cover that procedure so it will have to be the rny because I really don't want to do the lap band. My boss was just avoiding me with giving me a date and yesterday she finally said  may was probably better. So it will be sooner than later.  I am liking that because we go camping every summer and I'm hoping I will have lost a pretty good amount by then.

 I'm wondering were there many of you'll out there who constatntly went back and forth about doing this procedure and now how do you feel that you have done it (if you've done it)?

My co-worker had her rny done yesterday and my husband told me not to go see her because I might get scared and choose not to do it. 

I pretty much cleared it with my boss, now I just need a date. I have called the dr's office and the lady that is supposed to be scheduling my appt is not in the office so I have to wait. I am so anxoius about getting a date and getting this surgery done.

My diet info was resent yesterday and the insurance company called me this morning to tell me that our surgery was approved. Now I just have to fight with my manager to get the time off, it is summer time and everyone wants off,  we'll see  what happens.

THE INSURANCE COMPANY THINKS THAT WE MADE UP OUR DIET. OUR DOCTOR FORGOT TO SIGN THE DIET PAPERS AND THEY WERE SENT TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY THAT WAY AND NOW THEY THINK THAT WE MADE IT UP. I AM SO MAD.THE INSURANCE COMPANY IS SUPPOSED TO CALL OUR DOCTOR AND VERIFY THAT WE WERE ON A DIET. 

Well I am waiting for the doctors office to call me. I was told that our files were sent to the insurance company, but I don't believe they have been.
We started this process in January. We changed insurance companies in January and right after that we went to see Dr. Patel. It is only march, but it feels like it should be going faster. I now some people wait for over six months or longer to get approval and I think we are moving pretty fast, even though my husband thinks it is taking forever.
