I am 39 years old. I will be 40 in December. Let's just say I've decided that I am going to make a change before I hit 40. I have fought my weight as long as I can remember. I was very athletic in Jr. & Sr. High. Played basketball and lifted weights. As long as I was working out, I kept my weight at a reasonable spot... still not thin, but healthy athletic state.
Then came college. I gained & lost w/ the help of adipex. My weight over the next 4 years was up and down.
My first job...weight came back...Adipex to the rescue again. Lost it, got married, and then I started gaining again.
Three kids and 15 years later, my weight is at an all time high! I have tried every diet known to man, woman, and child. Nothing works. Hysterectomy, hormone replacement, and thyroid problems...
My mother called and said she had talked to someone that had been banded and how great they were doing. The girl that works across the hall from me has also been banded. So this has been on my mind... but never really considered it for myself. I figured I've tried it all and nothing has helped.
I met w/ a few people that have had the band. I talked to them and asked all kinds of questions, got all the details, and decided to make my appt.
I chose this song, "I'll Take Today", because I am ready to live my life today. I have decided to do something so that my todays will be SO much better than my yesterdays. God Bless You All.
April 2017 - I'm home after having gall bladder surgery. I have decided to take recovery as an opportunity to get back on track with my sleeve. Current weight - 203. Goal 160.
