196.8 lbs today for total loss of 27.7 lbs since starting pre-op diet. I think that plain water gives me heartburn! I had a South Beach Chocolate Protein Bar today and it was sooo good! I am very hungry today! Just before I had the protein bar I ate chicken salad and thought I was full but the hunger came back about 30 min later so I ate the bar be careful to not overstuff myself. Today was the first day I did weight training again since before surgery - I did legs today and I felt so weak it was ridiculous!

Today, well yesterday now because it's after midnight, I actually weighed up at 199.6 again but not to worried. I have become pretty sick of low-carb, which doesn't surprise me - it always happened when I was trying to low-carb diet before surgery. I don't know how people do it so long. It gets to the point for me where I think I will vomit if I have to eat another piece of chicken or cheese alone. So I had my first piece of pizza today, but it was BBQ chicken on whole wheat crust! Well, I ate the toppings off of a pepperoni pizza Sunday if that counts. I did do something else naughty today - I at half of a snickers egg because I have been wanting one so bad! My kids didn't mind helping me eat the rest :) Other than that had a protein shake, pimento cheese, slice of turkey, few bites of cottage cheese w/ pineapple, and a jello mousse cup.

198 lbs today, down for a total of 26.5 lbs lost! Just wish they would get this goshdang A/C here at the house fixed!

Below the 200 mark now! Woot woot! 199.6 lbs today. Walked up to Clingman's Dome yesterday (1 mile total) - dang that was hard! It is a steep grade the entire way up, and it is even hard to walk back down because you feel like you're going to fall foward the whole time. Had to stop a few times on the way up - and I thought I was in decent shape! It kicked my butt!

One Month Anniversary for starting Pre-op Diet

I have hit the even 200lb mark today for a total of 24.5 lbs lost since starting pre-op diet, and this is the one-month anniversary since I began it - March 8. Don't know if I should count this as my first month's weight loss total or wait until the 15th, my true surgiversary. About 10 more lbs and I should be back in my size 16. I don't really have any size 18s because I skipped over that size during my first pregnancy, so hopefully this will happen pretty fast! Yesterday was the first day I did an exercise besides walking - I got on the elliptical/climber thingy for 30 min. I had a few hours yesterday afternoon where I felt so tired - my body felt like a complete spaghetti noodle and I sat down on the couch and felt like I couldn't get up. Got some Jay Robb Egg white protein powder - love that it's 120 cals for 25 gm protein, and it mixes pretty well, not chalky like my Nature's Plus. I felt really hungry yesterday, but I ate well - low carb. Canned Tuna and shredded cheese at lunch, Salmon w/ Dr. Josh's Teriyaki at dinner, a protein shake, and protein water! Oh, and 1/2 a flax cracker!

Still 201.8 today. Had chili w/ cheese for lunch and a turkey sausage link w/ scrambled egg for dinner. Also had a protein shake and protein water. Took Carter and Dalton to the park and walked for 30 min. I read on the internet last night that low-carb diets can actually slow down your RMR and T3 production. So I still try to keep some healthy low-glycemic carbs in my diet, like the chili. Also for energy and because I like them!

Over the stupid hump, now, I guess. 201.8 today, total 22.7 lbs lost. Have a terrible cold I got from Dalton and I guess that helps me because I don't have that much of an appetite. I feel like those 22.7 lbs are swimming around in my head now. Mema and Aunt Cindy came to visit yesterday. We went to Aubrey's and I had some delish broccoli and cheese soup. And I was just briefly interrupted by a phone call only to find out that Paul's Bellefonte project has been put on an indefinite hold for "funding problems." Geez, this government is like your worst ex - they put you off and put you off and then cancel on you at the last minute.

203.3 on the scale today - WTF???? I weighed yesterday and was 202. something. Don't tell me I've already hit a slump! Yesterday had a protein shake (120 cals, 23 gm protein), mashed potatoes (140 cals, 2 gm protein), protein water (30 cals, 5 gm protein), and cream of chicken soup w/ a dollop of greek yogurt (140 cals, 10 gm protein). So what that's like 430 cals - how can you gain weight on that??

Lost another pound today for 21.5 lb total loss. Trying this Pure Protein Shake today - it's pretty decent.

Weighed in at 204 today - that's 20.5 lbs lost so far! I had a Bolthouse farms Hazelnut Latte yesterday (19 gm protein) and I got such severe gas! It was actually up in my shoulder! I am getting in about half of the required protein now - about 30 gm per day. Looks like it is going to be difficult to stay under 500 cals, get in 60 gm protein in liquid form, and have it taste good! Bought some Pure Protein shakes yesterday at Target. They seem to be the best bet at 120 cals, 23 gm protein, 3 gm fiber in 12 oz. I have yet to see how the taste is yet, though!
