18 months post-op

Apr 01, 2014

It's been a very long time since I was on this site. I am 153 lbs lighter and feeling wonderful. I always thought I was an active over weight person but nothing like I am now.. life has truly been a great gift.. Having bariatric surgery was the best thing I ever did. Its been a lot of hard work. I have had no complications except being nauseated all the time for the first 9 months but that is all gone now. I have been able to tolerate all foods.. so I feel very fortunate. I exercise like crazy.. and started kayaking last summer and I am so itching to get back on the river as soon as the ice clears. Whatever your journey is keep with it.. remember You are worth it.. :) take care everyone:)

finally on the losers bench

Sep 25, 2012

well my surgery was sept17/12 so i am on day 8. and i think i am doing quite well.. i have been determined right from the very beginning, so i am pretty stubborn.. and plus i have had such amazing support from my husband.. he def. has gone above and beyond the call of duty during the first week of my recovery.. so i am taking it 1 day at a time. and i blieve that is all you can do.. it seemed like a very long process to get here.. but well worth the wait.. i believe i was mentally, physically and emotionally prepared by the time it was my turn.  i also believe everything happens for a reason and that on the days when i thought the process was going so slow.. it actually was going the correct speed it needed to be.. and i believe i am right where i need to be.. so this i my story and my catch up:)
