I have been on the liquid diet now for one whole week and doing fabulous on it!  So far I have lost 18lbs on the liquid diet.  It really isnt as bad as I thought it would be...I dont feel deprived or hungry all the time like most say they do.  One more week and I will be having my surgery and the start of a brand new life!!  I am so looking forward to it!!  Had my nutrition class yesterday and it helped ease my mind alot on how strick it was that you cant have this or that.  Seemed to me that there are alot of choices available after surgery.  Granted they arent the only standbys like pizza and pasta but there are choices!! 

Just got home from the doctors office for my 5th month checkup.  I have lost 11 lbs this past month :)  It wasnt easy but not terribly difficult once I applied myself to it.  I lost 4.8lbs just last week using the Weight Watchers system. 

Only 1 more month to go before I can submit to insurance for approval.  I must admit I am getting nervous about that!  What happens if they deny it?  Where do I go after that?

I was laid off from my job in Mid March.  Since then my husband and I have gone on vacation for 2 weeks.  Needless to say I gained back about 20lbs of what I had lost. I am now coming to the end of my 5th month of the dr. supervised diet to get my surgery approved.  I am getting back on track and starting to loose the weight again.  Since my drs. office scales dont go high enough for me I go to Weight Watchers meetings to weigh.  This morning at the meeting I had lost 5.6 lbs during the last 2 weeks.  I was shocked that I had lost anything!!  So now I have it in my head that if I can do that without really trying then when I put my head and heart back into it I can start shedding this fat. 

So for the next 5 weeks of this dr supervised diet I am going to get my head and heart into it!!  I am going to really watch what I eat, exercise instead of sitting on my butt all day, and start journaling. 

I have taken my first step today by setting up a consult to see if I am a good candidate for RNY.  I am excited and nervous at the same time!  My appoint is set for November 10th.
