The last few days I've woken up shaky. I decided to test my blood sugars - this morn it was 58 - anything below 70 is considered hypoglycemic. Got up, drank a bi

Now, I will say I suffer from anxiety and just came off my meds a couple weeks ago because they made me gain weight. I've tried several other meds and nothing seems to be a good fit, so...I'm sort of on my own here at the moment.

Yesterday I go

I have my first surgical consult today - I'm self paying so I don't have to jump through all the ins hoops.

But...I'm kind of drawing a blank here as to what to ask the Dr when I meet him this afternoon. I'm going to ask him if he's had a patie

I haven't had surgery yet - I'm self paying and have my surgical consult March 2 so I don't know the answer to this.

I found out some things about my insurance coverage and it doesn't seem so great. I'm almost wondering if self pay is a better way to go.

So our new insurance doesn't take affect until December 1, but today I called and asked what the approval process was for VSG. She told me they cover bariatric surgery, but not VSG because it's "experimental".

Hello, I'm new here. I've been researching VSG for about 6 mos or so. I made the first step to call and go for an informational visit to a surgeon and then found out my ins didn't cover it, so I had to "give up that dream".

Now, my husband has
