Just a note to let you know that I am still thinking about you and hope you are doing well-I have not had my surgery and do not know if I will. I am still having such a hard time with the fear. I am not a brave person to begin with! I don't know what my family would do without me if something happened. I have been thinking about the lap band instead. Please let me know how you have been. I feel as if everyone has passed me by. Hope to hear from you soon, Suzi p.s. My new e-mail is [email protected]

Hi Betty, congratulations on your surgery. I am happy all went well. You and I started about the same. I am 46 and I started at 324 pounds. (5'3") My surgery was 10.5 months ago and I have lost 136 pounds. The doctor said only count on losing 70% of my excess weight in 15 months and that would have been 120 pounds. But I have sailed right past that. I want to tell you - you will have some rough days. It seems us "middle agers" lose and stop lose and stop - but we will lose. Be good to yourself and take full advantage of the first 6 months to retrain yourself. If I can ever answer anything please email me. Also, I would be honored if you check out my web site. I work hard to put as much info in there as possible for newbys' http://pgerman5047.tripod.com/ Good Luck! Pam German

Dear Amos Family my surgery was Tuesday morning, Everything went great. I kept getting a low grad fever, so they kept me till Friday Morning... I must tell you Dr. Christian Oakley is one terrific Doctor.. I wouldn't think of going to anyone else. He said I was a hard case to do. Meaning he couldn't get the intestine to stretch up to where he wanted it, and didn't have as much blood vessel to work with either, so the surgery took 3 hours instead of 2. But he said everything is like it should be. I have no pain, and doing wonderful.. 18 lbs gone already.. Thanks to all of you for your prayers, they got me through this safe and sound. Much Love Much Love,

~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~
